WestJet said it has not seen any in-service events related to software under FAA review

Sept 28 (Reuters) – Canadian carrier WestJet said on Monday it has not experienced any in-service events related to a potential issue with the software it uses on its Boeing 737 MAX jets that is under review by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.

The FAA has said it is aware of a potential issue in a software update for the flight computers on certain Boeing 737 MAX airplanes and will convene a Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) and take immediate action if it identifies a safety concern.
