Five dead at rural Oregon home in suspected multiple homicide

Aug 23 (Reuters) – The deaths of five people found at a home in rural Oregon on Saturday are being investigated as homicides, local law enforcement said on Sunday.

• The deceased individuals were found on Saturday at a home in a rural community near Forest Grove, Oregon, around 30 miles (48 km) outside of Portland, when authorities responded to a report of a vehicle fire.

• No suspect is in custody, and the deaths are not suspected to be a random act of violence, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said.

• An unspecified number of domesticated animals were also found deceased, authorities said.

• “In my 22 years here, I have not been a part of or witnessed a scene quite this complex,” said Washington County Sheriff Caprice Massey.
