A victory for religious freedom in Oregon

(SRN NEWS)- The state’s Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists fined counselor Frank Canepa nearly 90,000 dollars for refusing to personally affirm a client’s homosexual relationship.  Alliance Defending Freedom, a Christian legal group, went to bat for the counselor and now the Board has agreed to rescind the fine.  ADF spokesman Jonathan Scruggs says ““The government can’t force people to say things that go against their core convictions.”
