Gov. Newsom to Create Olympic and Paralympic Games Delivery and Coordination Strike Team

(Los Angeles, CA) — California is creating an Olympic and Paralympic Games Delivery and Coordination Strike Team. Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to sign an executive order today, making it official. It will aim to ensure the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles run smoothly. Strike team leader Jamie Callahan has been appointed to ensure more than a dozen state agencies and departments, along with local governments and LA28 officials, are cooperating. Callahan is one of Newsom’s senior advisors. The strike team of state government workers will also aim to reduce bureaucratic delays.
