(Miami, FL) — Cleanup and recovery efforts are underway across the Southeast as remnants of Hurricane Isaias [[ ee-sy-EE-us ]] weaken and move further inland. The National Weather Service says the storm is now breaking apart over central Alabama after making landfall last night near Destin, Florida as a Category 2 hurricane. Four people have been killed, two in Florida and two in Alabama. Nearly 700-thousand customers remain without power in the region. About ten-million people remain under flood alerts with heavy rain and high winds impacting an area from northern Florida to southern Virginia.
