USS Abraham Lincoln Returns To San Diego After Ten-Month Deployment

(San Diego, CA) — The USS Abraham Lincoln returns to its homeport in San Diego this afternoon. About five-thousand sailors aboard the aircraft carrier will be returning to Naval Air Station North Island after a near-record ten-month deployment, marked by reports of dwindling supplies, poor morale and multiple suicide attempts. The USS Lincoln left San Diego last November bound for the Pacific, but was redirected to the Middle East in late February to assist with the U.S. war with Iran.
