(SRN NEWS) – On the anniversary of the brutal October 7th attacks, a new report offers a look inside a Hamas tunnel near Gaza’s border with Israel.
Hamas terrorists killed about 1,200 people-the majority of them civilians who were attending the Nova music festival- wounded more than 5,000, and abducted 251 others during the 2023 assault. 168 hostages were returned alive, while the remains of the final hostage were recovered in January.
For hours, thousands of terrorists crossed into Israel, attacking communities and military posts. They killed men, women, and children, abducted people, and committed sexual violence. The assault caused the largest loss of Jewish life since the Holocaust.
Salem Media’s Erin Molan visited a tunnel discovered by Israeli forces eight months ago. The underground complex reportedly included commanders’ quarters, bathrooms, weapons storage, and reinforced blast doors. Israeli officials say Hamas has built thousands of kilometers of tunnels beneath civilian areas, including homes, schools, and hospitals.
Molan says the tunnel network was used to store weapons, launch attacks, and hold hostages. The report comes amid continuing debate over Israel’s military response and a vow from Hamas to attack again, if given the opportunity.
Jews fought the terrorist groups then, and now today they also faced fierce criticism from the media, the United Nations, and Democrats and their left-wing allies in the United States.
